I really enjoyed Mando and Grogu. More importantly, my nieces and nephew (9-11yo) walked out saying it is now their favorite Star Wars movie.

This was the first Star Wars movie I saw in the theatre with my kid. We had a blast and loved it! Sometimes the Big Picture takes itself too seriously..

The Mandalorian & Grogu really feels like episodes stitched together because that’s basically what it started as. Favreau has said Season 4 scripts were already written before Disney shifted it into a movie. So people criticizing the structure are kind of noticing the production reality. The budget also makes more sense in that context. Around $165M is way closer to a high-end TV season than a typical Star Wars blockbuster, which is why it doesn’t feel like a huge cinematic event in the same way past films did. At that point, it’s not really a traditional “all-in” movie gamble. It’s more like Disney repackaged a completed season into a theatrical release. If it performs well, great. If not, the real value is still in Disney+, merchandising (especially Grogu), and keeping the franchise momentum going.

The old take care of the young and then the young take care of the old. This is the way. Having watched everything SW for my whole life, this was a fun hang. WAY more memorable than Episode 9. The puppet work in the movie was great, and grogu reuniting with the anzellan's was so fun. The Mando action was great, and seeing the Hutts actually move and fight for the first time in live action was cool to finally see. not everything needs to be high stakes when it comes to SW.
