dude as someone who genuinely hates some aspects of one piece (while I also love other aspects). I would give that anime many different negative reviews but the one thing that one piece is not is inconsistent. you are doing the wrong line of analysis by using IMDB as your reference to support your argument. One piece is actually really consistent in its thematic story telling and in the way that it plays out ( Whether, that's consistently good or bad is personal preference), if you look at each arc, it is almost always consistently the same package re-tolded differently to a degree I also acknowledge that we might be operating on different views of what consistency might mean). Furthermore, the recency bias on IMDB is glaringly apparent over the past 5-10 years and it's not a good point of reference for any real analysis on modern media, I would go further and argue that it's only real purpose is to gauge the watchability of a movie for movie night.
