You know it’s bad in Australia, when you earn more then 1k a week, and you have to buy your groceries on afterpay. If it’s not rent it’s food. It’s unfair

I dunno guys … if you are single 20 dollars of food can last like 2 days… get a whole chicken for 10 bucks get rice and eggs small pack of rice 5 bucks and carrots for fiber 3 bucks… 1.2 kg of chicken would last like 4 meals …

I was unemployed last year, when I accessed food support from support services it was all expired food. Every single time.

Actually trying to eat breakfast lunch and dinner is making my groceries barely affordable and I haven’t been cutting into my budget for other stuff, like my phone bill (which is also increasing) has bounced idek how many times now and I keep having to manually pay when I can scrape the money together

i only eat one meal a day and one snack, I make a batch of tuna morney with one the packet recipe bases which totals roughy $10-12 for 3 days and usually buy few packets of what ever chip or biscuit that's on sale at $2-2.50 that i like, i have a job and do door dash and still cant manage more for groceries
