🥊🔥 ROUND 2, TURNING UP THE PRESSURE 🔥🥊 Round two, and it was time to turn things up a notch. Nothing silly, nothing heavy, just a little more pressure, a slightly higher work rate and a few more punch variations to push him just outside his comfort zone. 👊 The purpose wasn't to overwhelm him. I wanted to see how he'd react when he had a little less time to think. Would he panic or stay composed? Would his defence disappear under pressure? Would he remember his movement? Could he still think while punches were coming back at him? That's where controlled sparring becomes such a valuable teaching tool. I increased the tempo, changed the combinations, gave him different looks and made him work that little bit harder for his space. And considering this was only his second round and just his SECOND TIME EVER sparring, he handled the challenge brilliantly. 💯 Still listening. Still thinking. Still trying to implement what he's been taught. There's absolutely no need to smash a novice around the ring to teach them boxing. Give them a problem they can realistically solve, then gradually make that problem harder as they improve. A little more pressure. A little more thinking. A little more experience. That's progression. 🥊🧠🔥 Build confidence, don't destroy it. #NoviceSparring #BoxingTraining #boxing🥊 #Boxing #TheManiacBoxingCoach@Isaac @LA51HEY @bricky @What a Load of Pollocks @RockStarJonesy @Dean Pollock @J.M.G ✝️🕊⚔️ @J🅰️cøb.ª🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🩸🥊 @Benmorris33
