I love them but it’s a bit out of touch for him to say this. They have the luxury to go back and check *their* cameras if they want—and they have. Fans aren’t this fortunate. Times are tough, yet we’re making sacrifices bc we want to go see them. We want to be able to have photos and video of the *hundreds* of dollars we’ve spent. I totally get his annoyance but at the same time, those fans are probably not going to get close to him again. Again, love them, but I’m really not liking the insistence of “put down your phones”. I was there for Vegas Day 2. I took 10 mins of video and about 2 dozen pictures of the whole event. I’m really bad at remembering to use my phone. I am more of “live in the moment”. But then I always wish I could have taken more pictures of that special day….

We didn’t have a phone out for 99% of this concert. As soon as he came up to us I rapid shot a few pics and put my phone down and he sang the chorus of “Run” to us (citifield 2018). JHope danced with us, Yoongi jumped with us, Jimin and JK loved our section. If you don’t have your phone out, they WILL flock to you

The whole "bts interacts more with you if you don't have a phone" reminds me of my cat, who has an extra sense for when you try to take pictures or videos of her. The moment you reach for your phone she leaves, even if she's been staying in that same spot for hours until then 😂
