The prophet saw said someone may continue to ask and his ask is delayed because Allah loves to hear their voice so that you can keep coming back to him every time but it’s a guarantee that every time he answers your dua even if it’s In a different way each time but if you keep knocking youll get exactly what you want Allah LOVESSS when you keep knocking on his door

I don’t know who is closer to god but make dua Allah invites me to his house this year and gets me out of this cycle I been for 5 years and make dua for my mental health

“The supplication of every one of you is answered so long as he is not impatient and says: ‘I supplicated, but I was not answered.’” Reported in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. The meaning of “not impatient” here is not giving up on supplication because the outcome did not appear immediately. And if Allah does not grant it in the way you hoped for, then He knows what is best. In Islamic understanding, the reward of that patience and those unanswered prayers is never lost; it may be saved for you in the Hereafter and raise your rank in Jannah, insha’Allah.
