@invinciblevenus5: Nuanced things require nuanced opinions. We may see this differently as a society in 20-200 years. I‘d be happy if things changed into a plant-based direction. Be mindful, don‘t eat it every day. #vegan #plantbased @gabrieczka
I read once somewhere that if you can't be vegan because you like cheese to much, just be vegan except for the cheese!

Totally. I’m vegetarian but I think everyone including myself should be vegan and plant based

i really enjoy your content and like to hear your thoughts on various topics. however, when it comes to veganism i do think that what you are saying about meat consumption especially when it comes to the taste of meat and meat alternatives it’s all about comfort and habits, from an ethical perspective this is something that you are actively choosing and in my opinion has nothing to do with availability but rather with the effort you are willing to make. change can come slowly, and i’m still glad to hear that you encouraged a mostly plant based diet. maybe there‘s something that i’m missing from your point of view but from what i am hearing most of these aren’t „logical“ arguments but more about upbringing and comfort

Brilliant take. This is the reason I am actually not vegan anymore. I no longer have the capacity to deal with the friction veganism caused in my life, but it still resonates with me so I make plant-based foods a core part of my diet anyway.

As a vegan I really appreciate this take. Under capitalism, we are set up to fail when it comes to making ethical, sustainable choices about our food and purchases. But we can at least try do our best — whatever that means for us.

THANK YOU we need more imperfect vegans (lowering intake of animal products) than a few that are 100% perfect vegan (applies to all the other topics as well)
for clothing I recommend Vinted ad an alternative!! (as far as it works for you)

Idk people always make it sound so hard, but for me personally it was so easy (I understand everyone’s situation can be different but I’m just sharing my personal experience). I was a meat and dairy eater for 22 years and shifted to vegan (none of my family or friends were vegan or vegetarian), took me 2/3 months to get used to it and research about it and I’ve been vegan now for 6 years. I’ve lived in and visited different countries and cultures and it’s has never been hard and it’s sometimes even cheaper depending on how you do it. I do have to say though that I don’t have this mindset of “I can’t eat this or do that” but rather “what can I eat and do” and then I always manage to find a solution easily. Nowadays I don’t even have to think of solutions anymore as I’ve experienced all of these different situations so now I just immediately know what to do. But anyway, more imperfect vegans/vegetarians is better than a few perfect vegans. So keep doing what you can 💪

I still don't see why you consume meat and Milk. Especially on Germany being vegan is Less expensive than being omnivore and there are plenty of alternatives (with good macros). I myself come from a multivultural omnivore Familie and I had no Problem veganising my traditional recipes

"H&M is the only company that tailors to my size"... If you can find clothes that fit your body over there, you can find fitting clothes everywhere, no? These fast fashion companies just make clothes for the most average median body type so they can be sold to the masses, no special sizing or tailoring done at all

I’m plant based and gluten free 90% of the time. Everything changed for the better when I stopped consuming meat substitutes and replace with beans and legumes. Never felt better 🌱

The meat industry is huge. There must be so many people working in slaughterhouses. I understand your take, but I can’t be grateful for people who kill animals. There’s a similar disconnect with certain of my American friends who always thank soldiers/veterans for their service. They do it without a second thought. War and killing is so unnecessary. I understand kill or be killed, but we have to find better strategies than killing people and/or animals. We just “accept” it because it’s how it’s always been, which is lame and mostly incentivised by money/greed.

Appreciate the nuanced take. Worth noting the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics updated its position from “safe for all life stages” to only for non-pregnant adults, ideally with dietitian guidance. Cutting back on red meat/dairy makes sense to me, but full veganism doesn’t seem nutritionally optimal unless animal ethics is your main priority

How is it not bad to deprive someone of existance, when it's arguably the worst action you can do to someone else? It sounds like you do know it's wrong to be a non-vegan, but have strong cognitive dissonance.
