I love all the car gods on here saying the rotor is out of specs just from a video

Pointless putting new pads on that disk is fked

Capt. Kirk :
I'd like to see the mic specs on that rotors limits compared to what it got cut down to! I turned rotors back in 1989 for a living. Those grooves were deep on the face of the rotor.

Lisa Mitchell :
clearly you can see that rotor is so far past min thickness!

does nobody clean the face of the rotor hat anymore with a 3m roloc?

stop following me :
A rotor that thin will not dissipate the heat from the friction. If the pads wear significantly the piston could pop out of the caliper. Minimum is stamped on the rotor.

he let the caliper hang from the brake line... nice...

Didn't clean hub before putting back on.

The left side of that rotor looks super thin. After seeing how much the guy cut into it with the pad, the first time, I’d be leery about using that rotor again after you cut it like that.

Not sure why you're changing parts.. there's still some metal left there.

That rotor is way below minimums. With such a heavy vehicle, the heat generated will cause the rotor to warp.
VERY UNSAFE.
Also, allowing the caliper to hang by the brake line causes stress on the line.

Hope you opened the lid to the brake fluid reservoir before you did that. 😳😳

because it is. outside edge half as thick as inside edge. most modern specs call for so little runout you cannot resurface and stay in specs. you aren't saving money anyway, just put new ones on
