Ginger Mint Electrolyte Slushie 🫚🌱- the ultimate summer drink to cool you down with fresh ginger and mint, plus natural electrolytes to help restore hydration and energy after an attack. It’s such a refreshing drink! Recipe linked in profile! How it can help with migraine: Ginger has been studied as a natural anti-inflammatory for pain relief, and one study even compared it in effectiveness to a triptan. It can be hit or miss for me (usually works best if I can catch an attack early), but is amazing for nausea relief. Mint also has evidence for headache pain and nausea. Often a migraine attack can deplete electrolytes, either through nausea and vomiting, vertigo, or avoiding eating or drinking. This can help with dehydration, because it’s a little more palatable during or after an attack than plain water. It also contains magnesium, sodium, and potassium, which can help to make you feel like a normal human being again! Note on 🍋🟩 - citrus juice can help with nausea but may be a trigger for some who are histamine-sensitive, and can be omitted. If you add it, this has a mojito flavor to it! Blender substitutions - I lived with chronic migraine so using a blender during attacks doesn’t phase me, but if you’re sensitive and don’t have good ear plugs, I recommend making the base into cubes for sparkling water or ginger ale instead (I have a separate video for this on my page).
Loan App, did you pray for me to use it wisely 😂😂
