@thewellnessprocess: EP 117 | In this week’s NEW episode, @HolisticLifeNavigation and I talk about how trauma can manifest in our eating habits, why regulation matters, and how to build a healthier relationship with food and your body. #nervoussystem #relationshipwithfood #wellness #healing #nutrition

This is so interesting once I started eating normally I started to actually feel the food in my body and digest it and it was the first time I actually felt IN my body. Struggled with gut and digestion issues but once I healed my relationship with food it felt like my digestion was normal again and my life force was flowing.

We restrict our eating because it’s the only thing we have control over !! Not from childhood trauma

Yep!!! I learned this last summer but still struggled up until not too long ago. Idk what part of me has healed but i have finally and suddenly have gotten over this poor coping mechanism. It was a form of control for me. I may have even healed out of spite but at least i did it. Still dealing w bad habits i picked up along the way and comorbid traumas but overall i’m doing better 😁❤️🩹

Genuinely eating less causes you to be dizzy and lightheaded and it feels like the buzz of getting drunk. Along with that is a control thing. We can control it, and it helps our anxiety. Ofc stuff gets worse later on but in the moment we feel better and almost comforted
