NTA. Growing up my mom did this. This is not fair. This can breed resentment between siblings. My siblings missed out on a lot of things because im the baby of the siblings

My daughter got to go to great wolf lodge with her friends for her friends bday. My other kids were jealous but I took them to the park and we played and had pizza and they were happy to do something with me during the time she was there.

Honestly, the way I would have done it is have the son go to Disney obviously. But have a fun day with the daughter. Obviously not go to Disney but maybe do some sort of activity that would be fun for her like go see a movie or go out to get ice cream something that is fun and then if the daughter ever gets an opportunity to do something like go to Disney do the same with the son do a fun day with him that is less expensive but still just a fun day to build some memories. But not allowing the son to go to a family vacation is insane and showing favoritism. The girl also does need to learn that you don’t get to do everything. My brother would go on fun little trips with his friends and I never cared partially because I knew that would mean I got a fun day with just my parents and we would do some fun activities it was never extravagant sometimes it was just getting ice cream from the store and watching my favorite movie. But it was still a fun activity and time with my parents. My brother got the same when I had fun trips he would get fun time with our parents.

OP is NTA. Fair doesn’t mean equal in all ways. And that’s on parents to teach their kids. It was a difficult thing for my kids to grasp when they were idk, 5-8ish, but they’ve all understood it since.
