He was weak and left alone by others. Some versions of the lore say his own pack abandoned him and he was blamed for disasters he didn’t cause. To get stronger, he stole a magical pod and gave himself the gift of fire, becoming the Firewolf. With that power he killed four Dzo, caused a forest fire, and triggered a rock slide that blocked the river. That flood cut off the valley and destroyed the harmony. Trauma and the “hurt people hurt people” cycle When someone experiences chronic rejection, betrayal, or neglect, it can activate the brain’s threat response long-term. Over time, that person may develop hostile attribution bias - they start seeing the world as dangerous and other people as untrustworthy. To protect themselves, they switch to aggression, control, and self-interest. That looks like “evil” from the outside, but internally it’s defense.
