@doctor.painkiller: Medication Overuse Headache: The Limits Your Doctor Should Have Told You About To Avoid Rebound Headaches. Medication overuse headache (MOH) is one of the most common reasons people with migraine get stuck in a worsening cycle — and almost no one is told the day limits until rebound headaches are already happening. Save this for your next appointment. Send it to someone who lives on Excedrin. #migraine #headache #migrainerelief #headacherelief
Then are we just expected to suffer silently without pain relief the other days?!

Sometimes you have to take the risks in order to function. And sometimes if you allow a migraine for too long, it never goes away!

Well my neurologist gave me a prescription for 18 fioricet a month because that’s the only thing that works for me. Do I use all 18, no, but I have it.

All very well but if you get daily attacks & it’s the only way you can function. I’m in the UK & we don’t have a lot of choice.

I take sumatriptan almost every single day. Every neurologist head specialist and primary care doctor I have seen is aware of this. Not much I can do about it.

I take Nurtec with pretty good results. When I asked my insurance why they would only pay for 9 pills a month when I average 25 migraines. They said it was unsafe to take more than 9 a month. Is there a reliable study I could read.

My neuro has me rotate, Tylenol one day and Advil the next. BUT Tylenol does nothing so I just make sure not to take more than one dose (800mg) of Advil every other day. I prefer Ubrelvy, and that's my go to. However, insurance thinks a person can't possibly get more than 5 migraines/mo so probably 1-2 times/wk I have to throw ibuprofen into the mix 😒
