The UK heat is not anything remotely close to American heat. You can quite literally feel the heat in your skin in America. Yes, we have humidity too and yes, it is very bad. Your guys heat is not that bad.

Average high humidity in the UK during the summer is 10-20% lower than in Oklahoma (land locked state btw more than 500 miles from the nearest ocean) and our temperatures usually hover anywhere from 90 to 110 degrees Farenheight or 32 - 43 C. This is extremely significant as we dont even have the worst of it here. In Arizona peoples stuff melt on the roads because of the heat and you can cook using the pavement.
