@bluetsunami2026: Shakespeare in the Park is one of those annual NYC Summer musts like a ferry to Fire Island or a picnic on Governor’s Island, and since this event is free, and free is for me, that makes it even bettah! The Delacorte Theater is currently housing a production of Romeo & Juliet directed by Saheem Ali starring Daniel Bravo Hernández (Romeo) and Ra’Mya Latiah Aikens (Juliet). The modern day bilingual concept where the lovers speak Spanglish to each other works in my viewpoint, but I have read that others fund it polarizing, it’s not going to please everyone expecting the traditional dialogue but it’s the director’s vision and the overall production value of beautiful costumes, staging, and strong performances is worth it. Just go to the park, enjoy the scenery, the crowd, the talent, and chill. Enjoy a humerous take of "The Balcony Scene."
