Your video could not come at a more perfect time. We just found a mullein growing in our yard and have been debating whether or not to pull it. We had no idea it was invasive! We are trying hard to bring more native plants to our property. Thank you!!!!

I use it to mix with my “flower” for smoother experience and to clear out my lungs occasionally. I do NOT buy it though. I search for it in vacant areas and I harvest the whole stalk, including the roots before they seed and bloom to avoid further pollination, though I had no idea about the seeds staying for that long! It’s very exciting when I come across it. It does help us smokers, or at least I can tell a difference.

hiiiii girlie who absolutely can not afford any healthcare here, I have chronic bronchitis which my grandma gets inhalers through her doctor so I'm able to have my medicine but I do get a frequent amount of mucus build up (which is common with the diagnosis & not life threatening) which was the main thing advertised with Mullein. Do you find it to be effective for that or is there something better you'd recommend? I'm totally open to trying anything! I also assume a lot of the issue is my sinuses not draining the mucus as much as it should which feels like strained breathing when it's really just clogged canals (aka using my inhalers doesn't help much) so if there're any recommendations you have for that I'd love to hear it!

The defenders of this plant drive me CRAZY. They'll insist that it isn't invasive at all and doesn't spread. I live in the prairie state, I'm a land steward, and I've seen entire prairies taken over by mullein. Especially hill prairies, which are already rare and delicate ecosystems.

We harvest mullein from the mountains every summer and use it throughout winter to help with congestion/upper respiratory issues. It spreads like wildfire so I would NEVER plant it in my own garden. Same goes for lambs ear.
