@somersetcouncil: Lights, camera… Somerset 🌟 Masters of the Universe is landing in UK cinemas soon – and Somerset is part of the action. This clip is of an action set piece shot in Wells Cathedral, featuring Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms and Somerset’s very own James Purefoy as King Randor, He-Man’s dad. Keep an eye out, we'll be sharing more from the King next week… 👀 Filming took place last summer, with support from Screen Somerset, and the huge production also shot at Wookey Hole Caves, another of the county’s top, film-friendly locations. Based on the 80s cartoon series, the film also stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, Jared Leto as Skeletor, and Camila Mendes as Teela. Screen Somerset, the Somerset Council film office, supports, encourages and celebrates filming in the county in recognition of the economic and wider benefits it can bring.
