Swiss here, nope it wouldn't be a problem, our politicians don't understand it neither: we have a super strong currency which is one of the 5 major pairs worldwide so our "Nationalbank" could throw in 1 trillion or whatever it takes without damaging economy or taxpayers.

This is a bit silly, the Swiss central bank made the decision to absorb Credit Swiss by UBS in one day. That day was Sunday, they didn’t even have to panic and search for funds. The central reserves are much larger than anyone thinks…. Due to a number of reasons of one knows Swiss history. So UBS „taking down the Swiss economy“ is just a scary headline for people who know nothing about this country and how it operates and that has absolutely no truth to it.

Why not just split the bank into three seperate companies. Keep allllll the secure loans and money in ubs. Create a mid tier bank to enroll all mid tier and create a 3rd tier for all the risk, ensure the risky bank is run under heavy regulations, and the other 2 should be fine. If one goes out u still have the other 2 and so on just question why not do this
