Jeremy’s body was found in a slough along the Columbia River in Portland, Oregon, on April 8, 2022. The medical examiner later ruled his death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound, but the murder investigation went cold for years. Now, investigators say they’ve made a breakthrough. On May 22, 2026, authorities arrested 44-year-old Marco Antonio Herrera in downtown Portland. He was booked on a second-degree murder charge with a firearm enhancement.
