@brokenramen | open 4 comms! The author of the wonderful art. I only used processing. Shiera Seastar, the youngest and most beautiful of King Aegon IV’s Great Bastards, was renowned for her intelligence, charm, and mysterious fascination with magic. Men across the Seven Kingdoms desired her, yet she refused every suitor. Among those who sought her affection most fiercely were her half-brothers Brynden Rivers, later known as Bloodraven, and Aegor Rivers, called Bittersteel. Their rivalry over Shiera would become legendary. But imagine a different path. As a young man, Daemon Blackfyre often visited the royal court, where Shiera’s beauty and wit captivated nobles and knights alike. Unlike the others who admired her from afar, Daemon treated her neither as a prize nor a mystery to be conquered. He spoke to her as an equal. In turn, Shiera found herself drawn not only to his handsome appearance and unmatched skill at arms but also to his kindness, honor, and quiet confidence. Their affection grew slowly. While many expected Shiera to toy with Daemon as she did with other admirers, she instead discovered a rare sense of peace in his company. Daemon, burdened by the expectations of those who saw him as a future king, found in Shiera someone who understood the dangers of ambition and the loneliness of greatness. When King Aegon IV died and Daeron II ascended the Iron Throne, tensions throughout the realm increased. Lords whispered that Daemon should wear the crown. Bittersteel urged rebellion, promising glory and victory. Yet Shiera saw the storm gathering long before it broke. She warned Daemon that civil war would bring only ruin. She reminded him that a kingdom won through blood could easily be lost through blood. For years Daemon resisted the calls of his supporters, choosing instead to strengthen his lands and raise his children beside the woman he loved. However, history is rarely defeated so easily. Eventually, the ambitions of great lords and the hatred between Bittersteel and Bloodraven pushed the realm toward conflict. When rebellion finally came, Shiera remained at Daemon’s side. Her presence united many wavering nobles, for she possessed influence equal to that of any lord. Some claimed she used sorcery to gather information and uncover plots before they could threaten her husband. Others insisted her greatest power was simply wisdom. At the Battle of the Redgrass Field, events unfolded differently. Warned of Bloodraven’s hidden archers through Shiera’s network of spies, Daemon avoided the fatal charge that had doomed him in true history. The battle remained fierce, but Daemon survived. With neither side able to secure a decisive victory, negotiations followed. The realm stood on the brink of destruction, and both Daemon and Daeron understood that continued war would shatter the Seven Kingdoms. A compromise was reached: Daemon abandoned his claim to the Iron Throne in exchange for vast privileges, lands, and recognition for House Blackfyre. The Blackfyre Rebellions never occurred. Bittersteel departed for Essos in bitterness and exile, while Bloodraven remained at court, forever suspicious of his sister’s influence. Yet even he could not deny that Shiera had prevented a century of bloodshed. In later years, singers would tell stories of Daemon Blackfyre and Shiera Seastar as one of the great romances of Westerosi history. Some claimed that Daemon possessed the sword Blackfyre, but Shiera possessed the wisdom that kept him from becoming a tragic king. Others said that the realm had been saved not by armies, dragons, or politics, but by the simple fact that two extraordinary people had loved one another more than they loved power. Whether such tales were true or merely songs, one thing was certain: if Daemon Blackfyre and Shiera Seastar had chosen each other above all else, the fate of Westeros might have been very different indeed. #targaryen #asoiaf #daemonblackfyre #shieraseastar #Love
