AI on its face isn't the worst bc there are instances where it can be an effective work tool, but generative AI as a replacement for very very basic tasks or therapy or art is just absolutely embarrassing. i hate it as a replacement for humanity rather than a tool to improve outcomes in things like medicine.

I don’t really get the AI slander, it helps me with studying and work. I understand using it for everything yeah it gets annoying but you have to get with it or get behind it IMO especially in the education sector

The problem with ai, is the same problem with search engines. People weren’t ready for either. I don’t even care about the stealing art argument, because cameras replaced a ton of artists who did photo realistic stuff. It’s just how technology works.

ai is great in the sense that its engaging and forces you to articulate a clear idea of the problem which in turn helps you solve it. it also can trick you into perceiving starting certain things easier than it actually is, and that's great for learning new things
