Are you drying in a garage? Leaving windows/doors open for airflow? Or no? I’m in KS also and dried mine inside last year but would love to dry in my garage or shed if possible!!

My garlic had black powdery mold in it last year after curing. I put in hanging up in our garage for about 3-4 weeks with fans blowing on them. Any idea why they didn't cure right?
