My dad was a beloved NY Jewish Dr. Sadly he passed away this November. An incredible number of his patients came up to me after his funeral service to tell me how much they loved him and what great care he took of them.

My Dad grew up on the lower east side in the early 20th century. He practiced urology for 35 years. I’m a Mayo Trained neurosurgeon now retired and have two brothers who are also doctors. I hope we have lived up to this standard

I’m a Southern Jew and the only non-Doctor in my family. Certainly not as ubiquitous but have a very strong percentage per capita still.
