A root tap isn’t the same as a root melt 🤍 This technique keeps the blonde bright while softening harsh contrast and regrowth rather than making the hair feel darker. The placement + toner choice changes EVERYTHING ✨ I might do a full breakdown because clearly a lot of people have been getting these techniques confused 👀

ALL the comments asking for the formula 👀 I don’t share formulas. But the good news is, the formula isn’t the important part here anyway. The real difference is the placement and technique behind it. That’s why two colourists can use the same formula and create completely different results.

Is she ok that her hair color is not the same from base to end? It shows two different shades of blonde… wouldn’t you want to see a consistent color from root to tip and also same cool or warm color tone not a mixture of both???
