The way I would have said “that’s convenient” when they said the cameras are down. Prob why I’m no longer customer facing.

Wouldn’t they have a signature from the insured if they had, in fact, towed it?

If this were an accident an officer has to sign the tow slip also and dispatch would have a copy of that information.. just saying

How would they know about this claim if they didn’t tow it? Just a general question.

Can't afford to "fix" their cameras but have bands laying around for a lawyer. Dumbassery is afoot

This is why I love having my Life360 and Google because both track my location and I can prove where and when I was.

Don’t you guys have access to cameras? I’ve seen other videos where you guys are able to verify that the car was on the road with the reported damage prior to their reported date of loss. Still couldn’t you guys then use it to prove that the insured had the car and was driving it and not towed.

In Australia the vehicle owner has to sign a form, giving permission for the truck driver picking up the vehicle permission to tow

Dont they take pictures when class vehicle is towed also to account for damage and belongings and such? or is that state/yard preference? Surely there would be something other than a tow invoice. like other paperwork, pictures or something lol

The fact that they are arguing and not saying “well I guess we should start doing xyz in the future to alleviate this issue going forward” is all I need to here. I can change my behavior to make sure what I charge for is what I did

The tow company we use takes pictures when they pick up the vehicle and again when they drop off. Is this not normal practice? It protects the company.

Any tow driver I've encountered and I've met PLENTY have always taken photos of the vehicle prior to loading to document the condition of the vehicle 🙄
