Oh my gosh. I used to have a chow and he did the exact same thing every time we were going out. I always thought he had separation anxiety because he was a rescue dog 🐶

I can open the door, let my chow out, close it again & she’ll stand there & wait until I come out 😂 (I live on a main road) 🙌🏻

If it helps, my chow used to do this. I quickly stopped it when your getting ready to take her on a walk with her lead on, make her sit and wait and if she gets up to put her nose to the door shut the door again. Keep repeating it until she stays sat when the door is open, obviously honestly maple learnt very quickly the door wouldn’t be open until she sat and waited without getting up xxx

Mines 10 an still does it, but dosnt leave the garden he just guards the front of the house, he was a nuisance as a baby he would have ran forever, he’s chilled now best dog I’ve ever owned 💕
