She spent two painful days in the hospital without receiving the care she urgently needed because her owner did not have the financial means to cover treatment. Heartbroken, her owner begged us for help - and we could not say no. Girl Girl underwent surgery yesterday, and her injured leg had to be amputated to save her life. Today, despite everything she has endured, she is standing, alert, and even wagging her tail. Dogs are incredibly resilient, but no animal should ever have to survive this kind of cruelty. The sheriff on this case, an animal lover himself, is deeply disturbed by what was done to Girl Girl and continues to actively search for the person responsible. This was not an accident - it was a crime, and Girl Girl deserves justice. If she continues to do well, Girl Girl is expected to be reunited with her owner as early as tomorrow.
