Fell in love after moving to Germany. Now married with a child and never felt more trapped in my life. I can never leave the country. Stuck in the town we started in because divorce law is so insane. Should have stayed single having fun gallivanting thru Europe!

My friend decided to move to Germany after marrying her German boyfriend she met when we were in Thailand— we both were there working as foreigners. When she finally moved, she did so with a job and work visa. Long story short, she’s happily married with a baby boy and a top finance job. It’s been five years she got married and moved, and still not on a spouse visa. She’s a LSE graduate, she doesn’t need a man to move to different countries. I’m so proud of her! The moral of the story, develop yourself to be truly independent 🥰

I moved abroad for me, and ended up getting married here. but if things dont work out, ur right bc if you have kids you are there for life..so def have to be prepared for that reality.

I moved to the EU with a boyfriend but was also moving for work. I dumped the guy kept the job and bought myself an apartment. 10/10 recommended doing it on your own 💗
