I always tell people yeah the boat itself was a depreciating asset. That wasn't what I was investing in. The years I've spent on the water with my wife, kids, other family, and friends was the real investment. That time and all the memories are worth far more than what I spent on the boat.

thats why we have life insurance, so they are covered when we cant enjoy them anymore haha. I just bought a boat too, im ready to live not slaving away to enjoy it when im 70 if I make it to 70
