@itsreallycarly: Not even sure I want to show everyone this but it's time for a change. We're getting our lives together over here!!! What's funny is that I used to think I was a type A person HAHAH If you've got the tips, the tricks, the type A tendencies send them my way because I'm going to need allill the help I can get. Thanks for being here and hopefully I can get to the other side of this mess. #declutter #momlife #typea #authenticmotherhood
You should read KC Davis’s “How to Keep House While Drowning” !!! I don’t know if us type B ppl can legitimately become type A but she has so many amazing suggestions for making your space work for you. I cannot recommend it enough!

Very much like mine.... it took me a long time to get into the mindset. " ONE DAY THIS WILL STOP" And I will miss the mess, as they have left. While im sick and tired of finding cables, lego, pens and other crap around, im not as hard on myself as much.... Will not miss a messy bathroom

My advice is if you haven’t touched it in 2-3 years get rid of it. It will help you cut down on time sorting and maintenance cleaning.

Honestly, sharing the messy parts takes courage 🫠 social media makes it seem like everyone has it together, but I was drowning in clutter, stress and low energy. I kept trying to reset and failing. Then in a women’s forum I came across Eat Like a Woman Protocol (by Loren Green). Everything started changing after that. Lost 33 lbs, my digestion improved and I finally felt like I had the energy to get my life back on track. Worth it. Feels like a secret nobody talks about enough.

get a laundry basket in each room and deem it the Junk Basket. the second it's full it means you have to sort it out. it gives you some breathing room on those days where everythings going wrong, but as you see it getting full your brain will start getting you ready to Deal With It. life isnt perfect so you cant keep on top of clutter 24/7, but being able to chuck it away for a few days will make it SO much easier to actually Clean up dirt

Declutter and organize! Plus you have to set rules for yourself and your household. Those rules will help with day to day cleaning. When you haven’t touched it in a year, you probably won’t in the next 10 years. 🫶🏼

I’m a recovering type B AND I’m ADHD and I have OCD (a few diff variations actually). My advice is become a minimalist asap. Then create systems that actually work for your brain that help to keep on top of it. Also, if you CAN hire a fortnightly cleaner once you’ve done your mass cull of all of your stuff.

biggest tip, coming from someone 1 year ago who was disgusting, to now a magazine perfect house nightly. clean constantly. Just always be tidying up. sounds like a lot but its not. if you see stuff that needs put away just do it. every night reset the house. then its also insanely easy to keep clean.

You’ve got this! ❤️I’m a type A mom, tips to help a girl out: declutter, toy rotations if age appropriate, one load of laundry washed/put away daily, week-month-3 month cleaning lists, close the house down every night before going to bed. ❤️❤️❤️

I follow a professional cleaner on here I can’t remember her name but she goes by a 4 foot rule - she’ll completely clear and clean a 4 foot space at a time. It helps build momentum and avoids overwhelm.
