Guys you are missing the point. He’s not telling you to expect someone to be 100%. He’s telling you to not expect someone to change something negative when you’ve already told them multiple times.

I like your videos and you do a good job of symbolism but, on this one I think we are all different and all have flaws. I think it's unreasonable to expect someone to be 100% of what you want. if someone is 90% of what I want, I am 100% accepting that 10% I don't like. especially in the illusionary description you've given here, the attempt is still made but because each person has different care and values towards the onion; the results are different. perfect should not be the enemy of close enough

people are clearly not getting the point or starving for crumbs from their partner. The point is, if the guy can be assertive when someone cuts an onion wrong, something that is small and won't ultimately hurt him, then he can be assertive when someone is outright hurtful towards him and has dismissed his concerns. cutting an onion wrong is a flaw, treating the person you love badly after they express that it hurts them is not a flaw, it's just plain bad.
