The reason we don't have black current in the US is cause it was banned for literally over a century.Black current carries a mold that kills American pine trees.You can get stuff made from it now , but only in the areas where we don't grow pine for harvesting so basicly the north east us Harribo acctually makes a black currant in their Twinsnakes gummies
