This just opened my mind. I’ve never bothered in politics, understood how war affects everything, and the government can be malicious. Maybe I have never cared because it has never affected me, something so selfish. I have so much power as someone who is privileged. I am gaining an education, I have a home, safe water to drink, and food on my table every night. Yet I have never fought for those who need that, I am a true believer in equity over equality, but how can I say that when I do not bother to learn how people’s issues are occurring. My mind is finally evolving past myself

Most ppl think politics is just about "joining" political discussions, watching adults argue on TV, or taking interest in boring debates and ideologies. But I think it's much deeper than that. I was never interested in politics either. I never cared about watching adults argue about governments and policies. But once you begin noticing how wrong things are around you, you automatically get pushed toward politics. When you see ppl never getting justice. When you see innocent ppl suffer bcuz of the wealthy. When you see entire lives getting crushed bcuz someone made a decision for them. When you see corruption, inequality and exploitation around you. Yeah... eventually you begin caring. That's the point where politics stops being "boring discussions" and starts becoming something human. I don't think ppl randomly wake up one day and decide to "join politics." I think reality pushes them toward it. bcuz once you realize how much these systems affect human lives, ignoring politics becomes difficult.
