60hz albeit sluggish, is totally fine. It's not like people play serious games on a macbook air... yeah 120hz will be appreciated but it's not a big deal for a productivity laptop

That’s literally the point of an air. If the air had those things it’d be a pro. And if you need those things, get a pro. The MBA is made for students who just need a light laptop with great battery to get them through the day and do some Netflix watching. The tasks you compared it to are meant for MBPs
