as an autistic person with epilepsy, just be mindful not all seizures are neurological (causes by the brain) stress based seizures are even more common for us

I’m autistic and I have POTS (which is linked to asd) and I often have seizures and pass out whenever my heart rate raises or I smell, see something. It sound like POTS to me but doctors won’t suggest it!

Hii I’m autistic and I have non epileptic seizures so might not be epilepsy. Mine are triggered by stress/anxiety and being overwhelmed usually. Get checked out for PNES just in case ☺️💕

I do have a question has anyone ever experienced when really upset that your eye starts twitching but nothing is showing like when I get really upset my right eye twitch’s like I can feel it but you can’t see anything like my eye or eyelids don’t move and I’m wondering has anyone else experienced this

wow, I didn't know that it's correlated with neurodivergence. I'm on Normeg, not sure if it's in your country. im nauseous after every attack, and I'm so confused😂

hey if anyone is going thru the light epilepsy tests it can be very difficult and painful. they put flashing lights up very close to your face. i dont normally feel sensitive to light but i was crying the whole time from the light in my eyes so close. I envourage the testing but i want people to know how to prepare themselves emotionally

I'm sorry you are going through this. my ex had epilepsy and they would know when they were getting an aura.tbey did have a seizure once and they were so exhausted after. I imagine it's a lot and I wish you the best doctor and support

I got my seizure diagnosis one week before my ASD. I am tracking my symptoms and menstrual cycle as my hormones tend to trigger them. Vimpat has been working well 😁 I hope you find answers and feel better soon!
