@atsbaseball: Dave Winfield breaking down THE double that won it all 🏆 1992 World Series, Game 6. With 2 outs in the top of the 11th, 40 year old Dave Winfield stepped up to the plate and delivered a 2 run double down the left field line. In the bottom of the inning the Blue Jays would secure both the franchise’s and Dave’s first ever World Series title. Winfield’s only prior chance at a title came in 1981 with the Yankees, where he struggled going 1-22 in the series, being labeled “Mr. May” by Yankees owner George Steinbrenner. This time the future hall of famer was crowned as “Mr. Jay”, being presented with the Babe Ruth Award as the player with the best performance in the World Series.
