ok this doesn’t quite make sense to me. Tahani did cause good in the world but her motives were selfish so they are saying that motives matter more than action. Then Chidi got sent there because he basically did harm to those around him but his motives were good. So by there logic shouldn’t Chidi have not been sent there if he was trying to do good?

i truly believe if the point system wasn't broken by their time and people were actually going to good place tahani would be there. yes her intentions weren't completely pure and wanted her family's approval but there is many ways to do that. She could have tried to get even richer or be a politician or so many other ways but she chose to help people. that should count for some points

honestly one of the biggest flaws of the whole system is the fact that your motivations determine whether it counts as good or not.
