@ntforge: Made a knife today from an old file. I turned the tang of the file into a little loop at the bottom of the handle, and I was very pleased with how that turned out. Other than that, this was a very frustrating build. You may notice the blade change shapes between the quench and the sharpening shots. I accidentally broke the tip of the knife off immediately after the quench, and had to salvage the rest of it into a smaller knife by grinding a different profile into the blade. I'm mostly frustrated that I forgot to film any of that process. Overall, I think the knife didn't turn out how I wanted it, but the grinding shots turned out well, so I hope you at least enjoy the video. #knives #sanding #knifemaking #foryoupage #forge
