You just spoke the last 8 years of my life 🥺 I’m free now, but rebuilding friendships and trust is such a struggle- I literally was in therapy to just learn how to feel safe even leaving the house to go to the grocery store. It’s a long road of recovery even after it’s over.

Same. I used to love going places! Slowly morphed into no dates, no outings, nothing. He purposefully made you miserable when we did go out. To the point where I no longer wanted him around…at all.

This is what happened to me as well. And those times I actually spent time with my family he would be texting the entire time and if I didn’t reply instantly I was in trouble. I don’t miss that. Imagine that.
