In New York City, you cannot block someone’s driveway. Put in a 311 complaint it may take a while, but police will come out and ticket the car. As soon as the car has a ticket on it, you can call for a tow. The police will not call for you believe me. We have done it many times. People have no respect for anyone’s property and feel it’s their right to park wherever they want. They deserve what they get.

When someone parks in front of your parkway it is best to call the cops. If you move the car on your own, you cam be held liable for any damages

The police in my city will not show up, but they will find the owner of the vehicle and give them a call. My neighbor’s kept blocking my driveway and twice they pulled ALL THE WAY INTO my driveway for over an hr. I don’t know what the police told them, but now they will not park anywhere near my driveway.

i live in torrance, car blocked about 60% of my driveway and the cop said he cant get it towed. he was annoyed that i wanted him to be ticketed. i think they don want to do paperwork
