As someone who lives in the DC area, this a very normal DC travel experience! Next time you fly out of DCA, consider taking Metro. Goes straight to the terminal and avoids DC traffic. Flew out if DCA last week and they changed my gate 4 times!

When you buy a ticket it puts you in a system called APIS where it pulls your name and birthday and the TSA gets that info from all airlines so they know who is flying out that day

You crack me up, but I’m glad that you felt better after eating. It’s so important to eat because one time my daughter and I were traveling to my niece’s graduation and she fainted in the airport. We had to sign paperwork that she was still OK to go on the flight because the medics didn’t recommend it. It was so stressful….
