I did an intership in HR (selection process and such) and one applicant had the company's phone where she was currently working at as the contact. My supervisor made me call her to confirm her interview for that afternoon and I kid you not, I had to go through the receptionist > her assistant > her. She made me wait for five minutes while she was speaking with her BOSS right in that moment about her pay in her current position and wether the company would match what we were offering her or not. His boss agreed to raise her salary. I was just 👁️👄👁️🤳 then she just went back to our call and said "thank you for the interest. I’ll be declining the offer for the time being. Have a nice afternoon". I lost 15 minutes of my morning that day but boy what a queen she was! 😩
