The thing yall don’t realize is that her mom taught her this thought process/belief about hair. And her mom’s experiences probably shaped her view of her hair.. it’s great that she apologized but if that’s what she was taught, then we should be kinder in our corrections

I truly believe this hair texture thing yall have about someone saying yalls hair is nappy is rooted hate within yourselves... why does nappy hair have to be a bad thing? Women in the 70s and 80s loved their "naps" because they were able to wear their hair in a fro... so I'm so confused on why nappy is so offensive! It's only offensive to people who accept the term as a bad thing! Some people like curly hair and some don't... so because someone doesn't like curly hair they'll take offense to people who say they're glad they have straight hair? C'mon yall... let's be fr!
