why does everyone immediately think disabled means not being able to walk… a disability could be in the brain, legs, arms, hips, back, ANYWHERE. like some people cant stand/walk/hold stuff for awhile cuz of severe pain.

all jokes aside, it's so humbling. I had surgery in high school and couldn't properly take care of myself for 6 months. I'll never forget how loving and patient my mother was. she never once made me feel ashamed even if I felt so uselesss. we dont deserve them.

idk where u had surgery but i feel u and i had surgery on my knees 3 times and counting, get a cast cover and if u can cover it (leg or arm) then cover it w that and take a bath and i always cover my leg or legs depending if i had surgery on both or only one, and keep it out of the water but soak my actual body just not where u had surgery but take a washcloth and wipe around where u had surgery.
