Knightfall is probably my favourite big Batman event but I feel like the story works much better if you read Sword of Azrael first just to get a feel of Jean Paul Valley. Also the novelization of Knights is also really good (it’s written by Dennis O’Neil).

I feel like it was talked about more like late 2000s , you would see Knightfall in a lot of people’s top ten Batman comics. It’s just that now it’s somewhat buried in newer stories

I don't think it's underrated. I see so many enthusiasts talk about it. I feel there's some background you need to know before getting into this, hence, not a great read for beginners..maybe.

I’d recommend Knightfall over The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, or Long Halloween to anybody looking to get into Batman comics

People on this app dont actually like to read, especially older stories, so knightfall isn't going to get the same attention as something like long halloween which has less words and big art pages
