Both things can be true. MTL outshot their opponents 4 times in the first 2 rounds. No cup team since 2000 has come close to MTL’s SF% even through the first 2 rounds and won. Are they gassed? For sure? Is one of the best shot suppression teams on the modern era exposing a team that already doesn’t typically control the pace of play? Also yes.

I think people are forgetting that the Habs are AHEAD of schedule. Demidov is a rookie, Hutson is a sophomore, 1st year with Dobson, like it’s insane. Very reminiscent of the 2009 Blackhawks

Yes Montreal got lucky with a hot goalie that's exactly what happened. They were outplayed in every series but lucked out on ot bounce goals to advance

I’m a die hard leafs fan. I followed the habs playoff run . They’re aren’t a bad hockey team , they’re exhausted man you can tell on the ice . Hab fans should be proud they have a scary team for years to come .
