It’s not about the car. It’s about the person you were when driving that car. It’s about the memories made with that car. The roadtrips you took. The friends you transported. It feels like a chapter closing. I’ve been devastated every time, too.

I refuse to sell my car. My gf talked me into getting it. We went to all of our dates in it. She said “I love you” for the first time in it. She passed away and I refuse to let the car go. It’s the memories.

My wife battled breast cancer for most of 2022. Every Thursday, we went to chemo in her SUV. It was still the Covid era, so I couldn’t go inside with her. I sat in that Rogue and cried more times than I am brave enough to admit. I read in it. I slept in it. I had meals in it. I drove her everywhere in it. We took that Rogue to every single appointment, surgery, scan, etc. She won. When the did, she wanted to trade the Rogue in. I drove it one last time. I cried the whole trip. That car had been there for me when no one else knew how. I still miss it like we traded it in yesterday. 😔

Trading my car in a week, I cried to my husband about this. We brought home our first baby in that car, that’s the last car my soul dog rode in, that’s the last car my cat rode in. So many memories and I love her so much 💕

My dad bought my first brand new car with me in 2008. I took excellent care of it, low miles, super clean, etc. In 2016 I sold it to a dad who bought it for his daughter 🥺
