Seeing the narrative form in real-time has been insane. It might not change the team but it has made watching basketball suck. The narrative is essentially there is Shai is never fouled and that OKC only fouls. What’s annoying is OKC plays the exact brand of basketball people have been whining about for over a decade. Not a team dependent on 3’s and plays physical defense. Because they’re so good this is now a criticism. Now it’s not physical defense, now they’re being too rough on other teams. And other teams aren’t allowed to be as physical…. That’s cap… they as a team do not shoot a lot of free throws and they’ve lead the league in fouls committed for years. Only thing that’s changed is narrative
