I just cut my boyfriend's hair like this, you need to section it a bunch (bottom, mid layer which will blend into the bottom, top will be in two sections aka front and back and the sides will need to blend into not only the bottom but also frame the face), and add a lot of layers (higher you go = shorter the layer). I use a 1 blade razor (or a face razor) and I cut not only in diagonal lines but also thin out my layers as I go up (if you don't thin, your layers will be chunky and will weigh down the hair) there's not really any special techniques other than that8 - )

bangs just above your brows, keep your side burns, shorten it at the ears, all at the top of your head should be 2 inches, then fade it into layers at the back of your head to keep your tail. it’s a mix of a mod cut and mullet a bit, you can use texture powder, pomade, or mousse. you only really need one product, i use kevin murphy mousse and i use ouai pomade to correct stray hairs. just rub in the mousse and comb backwards and pull forward as needed.

Use these to make layers and use the sits to even things out and then just mess around with it

basically get your hair wet then find the pieces of your hair from the top of your scalp and point cut them into layers. Tons and tons of layers. Do point cutting, helps with the shape. Then trip the rest to fit the shape. Then cut more layers going down the sides and back, and cut the bangs shape. Style your hair with either a clay or pomade and a texturizing spray.
