if I'd complained as a kid my parents would've taken the cookie from me and either ate it themselves or given it to my brother. We learned to appreciate what was given us bc the alternative was getting nothing.

Reminds me of when we gave free kids cookies out at the grocery store and people complained they were all sugar cookies or how small they were.
